Well, I decided to stick to it, and not quit and delete my world after getting bored. I roamed around for a few in game days, and finally settled in a village. I built the house, along with a basement and a top floor with great views! I got my underground farms going: wheat, melon, pumpkin, sugar cane, netherwart. I have 2 nether portals in the overworld, one is in the middle of the ocean (I created a new nether portal in the nether after wandering for ages). I also camped a blaze spawner with an enchanted diamond sword for blaze rods to make Magma cream, then I started to make potions!
I surrounded my village with 3 block high cobblestone walls, and repopulated it after the villagers nearly all died. There were only two left, but luckily I managed to wall the village and repopulate. I have a full stack of diamonds, countless stacks of stone and redstone, etc. I have so much stuff it's crazy. I ventured to find a jungle to get jungle trees saplings, then planted them (as you see in the screeny! :) )
I've died a total of 4 or 5 times, and usually I would quit out and delete the world after that happens, but I had a change of heart lol.
