I have been noticing an increasing amount of griefing on the server, and it is quite disturbing. My sugestion is neighbrohood watch/ more moderators who can kick/ban. And perhaps a plot protection mechanic.

Did you just reply to your own thread? lol

I agree! Griefing is a minor annoyance as once it is located the griefer is rolledback and they are banned so really there is no harm done in the end. However, it has to be reported BEFORE it is fixed!.

Plot protection is something I was looking at setting up for quite some time and I am going to spent some time tested the mods today to see how they work and which one will be best.

More mods will be coming in the future but this also needs to be done in a careful manner as having a single bad moderator is worse than a million griefers.

Yer, i heard a lot of people leave the server from griefing, they shout about it for a bit and when Skeight isn't online and they realize nothing can be done at the time, they leave Sad

Rather than setting up mods, have demi-mods. They remain a normal players but can do things like kick, ban, mute and tp people (and a few other things). The use of these cmds would be monitored and miss-use would result in being demoted.

You could use this as a sort of training rank for real moderators so u can guage how they are at dealing with problems and responsibility.

Thoughts..?

That's a good idea. We definitely need something in place as most griefing isn't reported so I'm sure some griefers are going unchecked.

I'll start putting together permissions for a few players to get to help out with this.
